Chia is becoming better known as a great source of healthy omega-3 fats and fiber, its also super easy to add to your diet! The seeds themselves come from a flowering plant in the mint family, native to Mexico and Guatemala. Researcher Wayne Coates discovered some positive health benefits about the seed; it boosts energy, stabilizes blood sugar, aides in digestion and lowers cholesterol.
This tiny little seed comes in 3 different colors; white, dark brown and black. Surprisingly enough it has a huge nutritional profile. It had calcium, manganese, phosphorus and of course those healthy omega-3 fats.
