We’ve all heard the term “superfood” being tossed around lately, as if any fresh fruit or vegetable is qualified, diluting the meaning to the likes of “going green.” I believe this is due to the poor nutritional value of the strong majority of foods available at grocery stores. Since processed foods dominate the market place, they become the standard while fresh produce and minimally processed foods are on the outside looking in when they are the foods that provide the essential nutrients to our bodies for optimal function.
Himalayan Pink salt’s unique structure also stores vibrational energy. All of the crystal salt’s inherent minerals and trace elements are available in colloidal form – meaning they are in a more absorbable form. This salt does not burden your body as other salts do. It is very difficult for your body to absorb too much crystal salt since there are powerful and effective feedback loops that regulate this process. Natural crystal salt always promotes a healthy balance and does not contribute to high blood pressure like typical table salt.
Feeling down and depressed? Usually we as food lovers go right to comfort foods to boost our moods. Some of these foods include, fried chicken, french fries, potato chips, and ice cream. As a health coach, one of my favorite topics to discuss with athletes (vegan or not) is how they can improve overall performance by eating plant based foods coupled with the timing of when to eat them. Get geared up for peak performance by nourishing your body with the proper fuel at the proper time!

We may not be going to work or classes so our daily schedule is changed, which has a huge impact on everything we normally do.
