3 cups roasted sunflower seeds
1/4 tsp sea salt
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp flax seed meal
1 tbsp shelled hemp seeds
1 tbsp roasted unsalted pumpkin seeds
1-2 tsp coconut sugar or powder stevia to sweeten
- Add roasted sunflower seeds to a food processor and blend for 5 to 7 minutes or until butter forms. Scrape down sides as needed. Resist the urge to add any additional oil or water.
- Add salt, chia seeds, flax seed, hemp seed, and pumpkin seeds. Pulse to combine.
- Taste and adjust flavor as desired, adding more salt, or a bit of sweetener of your choice. Avoid using liquid sweeteners, as these cause the butter to seize up and lose form.
